PROXESS GmbH

We help companies to design their future digital document processes. We support our customers from the outset with our expertise, experience and distinctive service philosophy. As DMS specialists, we are successfully active in many sectors.

We employ about 100 people and support around 1,900 customers, mainly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. PROXESS GmbH is based in Rietheim-Weilheim and has offices in Leipzig, Koblenz and Thayngen (Switzerland) and is therefore represented throughout the German-speaking region.

History

HABEL Dokumentenmangement was founded in 1991 by Fritz Habel. With foresight and reliable planning, the Swabian entrepreneur led HABEL to success. It was also HABEL that was the first company to successfully implement barcode recognition for document archiving. To this day, HABEL remains one of the pioneers in document digitization.

Since 2001, Akzentum GmbH in Rengsdorf in the Westerwald region of Germany has also been developing powerful and affordable document management solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Akzentum quickly established itself as a leading provider of DMS solutions in the furniture, technical, and HVAC industries. Many companies in these sectors continue to value its specialist industry knowledge and rely on its perfectly integrated solutions.

Since September 2019, both companies have been operating together under the company name PROXESS GmbH. Four years later, in November 2023, the market-leading ECM provider easy software AG acquired PROXESS GmbH, which had successfully grown together in this way, to perfectly complement its joint product portfolio on an equal footing. The merger creates strategic advantages and new growth opportunities for both companies and increases their joint competitiveness.

In spring 2024, this growth continues and PROXESS GmbH becomes part of conrizon AG, a new holding company for ECM brands, which also includes easy. As an umbrella brand, conrizon aims to become the leading European provider of ECM solutions.

At the beginning of 2025, the PROXESS site in Rengsdorf moves to Koblenz, where the company continues its dynamic course in a central location.

TÜV-certified security concept

Our PROXESS Document Management System provides a three-tier security concept: smart card authorization for supervisors as well as user-dependent data encryption at a database and file level. So you can instantly detect any attempts at tampering.

We rely on standards

Our PROXESS DMS solution relies on standards, such as standard SQL databases and standard file formats, as well as a clear commitment to the Microsoft platform as a server operating system.

Our interfaces, such as .net API and web services, are also standardized and well-documented.

Scalable, thanks to modular system architecture

PROXESS is scalable and therefore suitable for both smaller applications and many users as well as for very large document volumes, which it can handle with no loss of performance. The multi-tier client–server architecture and modular structure of PROXESS will enable your DMS to grow with you.

PROXESS in the cloud

You can use PROXESS as a cloud-based solution in a certified German data center (ISO 27001). Our Web Client provides access to archived documents and data from different locations using your mobile devices.

PROXESS means integrated document management system

PROXESS is integrated into numerous standard ERP and industry solutions, such as SAP R/3, MS Dynamics NAV, abas ERP, eNVenta ERP and SHD ECORO, for example. You can archive all your sales and procurement process data and documents via your ERP application in a legally compliant manner and quickly retrieve these at the click of a mouse.
